Favourite Subject

In a fact, i don’t know what my favourite subject actually. All i had learned in chemical engineering program is very important but what i think is, when i understand what a lecturer explained and described in a class, make me feel easier to know knowledge. I had interested subject which is i think i can be share with a reader such as Gas Transmission and Distribution (GTD).

Gas Transmission and Distribution is very important subject for students in gas engineering department to know and explore. It is about how a gas can be through a pipeline from gas processing plant to customers. The main transmission pipeline is designed for 1000 psig maximum operating pressure. However, the normal operating pressure of the line is about 450 psig. The pressure from the main line is reduced at the city gate station to about 260-300 psig and subsequently at district stations to 60 psig. The pressure is further reduced at area stations in residential complexes to about 11 inches water column or at service stations in commercial complexes to 5 psig before the pipe enters the building for further reticulation to gas appliances (Draft guidelines on domestic gas piping system) the natural gas supply system in Malaysia Transmission pipeline is about high pressure is requirement to transfer a gas.

It is short briefing about this subject. What a feedback I get from this subject??I know a standard pressure for natural Gas pipeline was using in Malaysia.

In this subject also, I had attained visit to Gas Malaysia Sdn Berhad. This company business is to construct a distribution natural gas pipeline. I think is good because I’m not only learned in a class but give me opportunity to look a reality of pipeline had been constructed. If I had a question, I would ask engineer in this company and get a direct answer about what I’m not understand. It gives me more knowledge to understand about this subject because I expose with actual condition in distribution natural gas pipeline
