Industrial Training




I had done my industrial training in a third year at Analytical Laboratory System (ALS) Technichem Sdn Berhad. I know about this company from my uncle. Before I had accepted offer from this company, I had offered from other company. His name is Southern Edible Oil. It was located at Kapar. It made me confused actually, what a company I should selected??? I just look what a company could be given me and how much allowance. These companies give different a value of allowance, I think a difference is RM 100 only.

At AlS Technichem, I as a trainee in Organic department. Head of supervisor in this department is Miss Lee. She is Master of Chemical. If I had a question about my job, I would ask her. In a first time I do a task, I don’t know to do it because it gives me new environment and I just learnt it only 1 sem in utm. It’s is under analytical chemistry subject. It‘s not give me expert on this situation. Its look, I should learn from zero knowledge. So, I learn first about preparation of samples whether soil, water, snack or others. Test for the samples includes are Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon (TPH), Polyaliphatic Hydrocarbon (PAH), pesticides and others test. A day after day, I know how to handle a preparation without ask a trainer. It gives me very confident and every task they give me, I finished it. I also give opportunity to know use gas chromotography. It is equipment to get a result about a sample such as methane, propane, butane and others organic compound.

During my industrial training, my relationship between staff AlS is like brothers and sisters. It is give easy to communicate. When I have a problem about job, I also can ask them when my supervisor absence or not at her rooms. From this training, I had a lot of experience and know how to handle a pressure when I working at the future in a reality world.
